It's the beginning of the holiday season and Lafayette chiropractor, Dr. M. Helena Takacs want to celebrate the start of the season of giving by giving the community the most important gifts of all, the gifts of health and child well-being.

To this end, Takacs is sponsoring a Patient Appreciation Day on Friday, Dec. 11. This event is a way to introduce our local community to natural drug-free health care as well as to participate in the spirit of giving for the benefit of Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital Foundation.

"Since the holidays have always been about the joy of giving, it is a pleasure creating an event that not only allows our community to discover how stress is affecting their health, but that also provides a benefit for a hospital that provides world class services, without ever sending a patient a bill," Takacs said.

During this event, all initial services provided by Takacs Wellness Center will be provided at no charge in exchange for a donation to the Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital Foundation. A donation entitles one to visit the office, located at 82 Route 15 across from Olde Lafayette Village, for an initial consultation, comprehensive exam, metabolic test, and an X-ray, if needed (a value of up to $250).

Deborah Heart and Lung Center was established in 1922 and has been providing lifesaving care to those in need, regardless of their ability to pay. The hospital believes that "there is no price on life," and therefore provides services, regardless of the patient's financial or insurance background.

The hospital is funded by charitable individuals, friends in labor and industry, corporations, foundations and volunteers, who selflessly give of themselves to ensure this hospital will continue to provide world class services.

Sussex County residents who are having a health problem can make appointments to participate in this event by calling Takacs Wellness Center at 973-383-5052 .
