FBLA officers attend leadership conference

Seven local officers of the Wallkill Valley Regional High School chapter of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) attended the New Jersey FBLA-PBL Fall Leadership Conference at the Pines Manor in Edison on Oct. 18.

Co-Presidents Alexa Batelli and Scott Mueller, secretary Vincent Limon, Community Service Vice Presidents Kayla Bifano and Connor Mendes, Membership Vice President Kyle McKenna, and Historian Madison Gerisch represented the chapter.

The theme of the conference was “New Jersey FBLA-PBL…Generating Greatness.”

The officers attended various workshops that focused on developing leadership skills. These workshops included “Leadership Strategies for Success,” Premature Awareness and Community Service with the March of Dimes — How You Can Help,” “High School to College,” and “So You Want to be an Officer.”

Julie Carrier, the keynote speaker, gave an inspirational presentation on “Leadership Awesomeness.”

The officers had the opportunity to network with New Jersey FBLA members from various high schools.
