John R. Nold

John R. Nold, age 78, formally of Glenwood, passed away after a short illness on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015, while surrounded by his loving family at his residence in Lafayette. Born in Queens, New York, to the late John and Stella Nold, he had moved to Sussex County 40 years ago. John had served in the United States Army after graduating high school. He had owned and operated Dependable Die Cutters, a printing shop located in New York City and had retired in 1982. John spent seven enjoyable years working for Meals on Wheels of Sussex County, where he met many memorable people. He was predeceased by his first wife, Marie Nold, in 2002 and his second wife, Virginia (Caponigro) Nold in 2014. He is survived by his daughter, Donna Caponigro and son-in-law, Joe Hatala of Lafayette. Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2015, at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery.

Friends may pay their respects to the family on Tuesday prior to the service from 10 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.
