Lafayette school holding kindergarten, pre-school registration

LAFAYETTE — Lafayette Township School will host registration for both kindergarten an preschool in upcoming weeks.
The school will host Kindergarten registration on Thursday, Jan. 31, from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Children turning 5 years of age by Oct. 1, 2018, are eligible for Kindergarten.
The school also will hold preschool registration on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019, from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
Pre-school registration will be held on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019, from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Toilet-trained children turning 3 or 4 years of age by Oct. 1, 2019 are eligible for pre-school. There are six seats available in the Pre-school program for the 2019-2020 school year. In the event seven or more Pre-school applications are received by Feb. 15, 2019, a lottery will be held to fill the six available seats and a wait-list initiated for the remaining applications received by Feb. 15.
Applications received after Feb. 15 will automatically be added to the end of the wait-list in the order in which they are received. The Pre-school program is open to Lafayette Township residents. Based upon the number of available spots and the number of Lafayette Township residents who apply for the program, additional student applications from other towns may be considered if space is available.
The following information is necessary for a successful registration:
Your child’s up-to-date immunization record
Your child’s original proof of birth
4 proofs of residency (deed, real estate tax bill, signed lease, utility bill, etc.)
Your child does not need to be present at registration.
