    June 19 A juvenile pled guilty on June 19 to third-degree burglary, third-degree theft and fourth degree criminal mischief. She was adjudicated a juvenile delinquent by the court. The juvenile, age 17, was sentenced to 12 months probation on condition that she complete 35 hours of community service, follow home rules, pay restitution of $2,584.27, obtain/maintain full time employment, submit a DNA sample, undergo random drug testing, only to drive to work, school and probation and pay $75 in court fines. In August of 2007 the juvenile and an adult co-defendant broke into a residence while the owners were on vacation and took a computer and a coin collection. They also damaged a vehicle that was parked in the garage. A juvenile pled guilty on June 19 to third-degree distribution of CDS. He was adjudicated a juvenile delinquent by the court. The juvenile, age 17, was sentenced to 18 months probation, must serve 30 days in the Juvenile Detention Center with credit for 11, balance suspended and a six month loss of his driver’s license. He must attend school every day and follow all home and school rules, submit a DNA sample, undergo random drug testing, complete the Alternative to Detention Program and pay $1,070 in court fines. The juvenile sold marijuana to another in a public park. June 20 Mark Forlenza, age 37, of Sparta was sentenced to four years in the New Jersey State Prison. He pled guilty on May 19, 2008, to unlawful possession of weapon, a third-degree crime, certain persons not to have weapons, a fourth degree crime, and criminal mischief with loss of more than $2,000, a third-degree crime. Sandra S. Grimm, age 49, of Franklin, was sentenced to two years probation and 100 hours community service. In addition, she must pay court costs and restitution to her ex-husband, Glenn Grimm and PNC Bank. Grimm pled guilty on January 28 to third-degree credit card use. She admitted to obtaining the account number from her ex-husband’s PNC Bank debit/credit card to make purchases from JC Penney and TracFone and also to pay an invoice owed to Selective Insurance Company, all without his permission. Kenneth J. Brady, age 34, of Montague, was sentenced to three years probation. He must also complete an in-patient drug treatment program and pay Court costs. Brady pled guilty on May 19 to fourth degree credit card theft. He admitted to taking a credit card out of a Montague resident’s wallet and using it to purchase goods. Kelly A. Sebastian, age 48, of Branchville, was sentenced to two years probation and 50 hours community service. She must submit her DNA to the court, pay court costs and pay restitution to her victim. She is also required to obtain employment. Sebastian pled guilty on April 28 to fourth degree fraud. She admitted to using a credit card belonging to a Branchville resident that she was caring for to purchase goods for herself at the Hampton WalMart and Newton ShopRite without that person’s permission. John McKevitt, age 19, of Hopatcong, was sentenced to 30 days in jail and 18 months probation. He must submit his DNA to the court, pay court costs and obtain employment. He is also required to attend Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous meetings as well as undergo an alcohol/drug evaluation. McKevitt pled guilty on May 12, 2008 to fourth degree criminal mischief. He admitted to causing damage to a car belonging to a Hopatcong resident during an argument. JUNE 23 Erin C. McManus, 18, of Hopatcong, was sentenced to two years probation and 100 hours of community service. She must pay courts costs and submit her DNA to the Court, as well as pay restitution to her victim. McManus, pled guilty on May 12, 2008 to third-degree fraudulent use of a credit card. She admitted to using a stolen Discover credit card at the Hampton WalMart to purchase goods. McManus was represented by Kevin McLaughlin, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor, Rachelle C. Jones. Dawn Wilmouth, 38, of Hamburg, was sentenced to 60 days in jail. She was also ordered to pay restitution, Court costs and submit her DNA to the Court. Wilmouth pled guilty on March 17, 2008 to fourth degree theft. On January 7, 2008 in Franklin, she took an envelope containing cash from the purse of an employee at a local business. She admitted her actions to police in a taped interview two days later. Wilmouth was represented by Steven Insley, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor, Rachelle C. Jones. Adrian A. Carel, 27, of Hamburg, was sentenced to two years probation and 100 hours of community service. He is also required to obtain employments and continue attending Alcoholics Anonymous counseling. He must pay Court costs and submit his DNA to the Court. Carel, pled guilty on April 21, 2008 to fourth degree forgery and fourth degree uttering a document. He admitted to fabricating a return to work/school document by forging an area physician’s name and submitting the document to a government agency in an attempt to avoiding serving a Municipal Court sentence. Carel was represented by Kevin McLaughlin, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor, Rachelle C. Jones. JUNE 24 Kathleen Ramage, 40, of Hackettstown pled guilty to third-degree theft. Sentencing is presently anticipated for August 8, 2008. She admitted to removing approximately $12,000 cash from bank deposits on four separate occasions while she was employed at the Franklin WalMart. Felipe Florentino, 27, of Midland Park pled guilty to one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, a third-degree crime and criminal sexual contact, a fourth degree crime. On multiple occasions between April 1, 2007 to May 29, 2007 the defendant had sexual contact with the intimate parts of a minor female for the defendants’ gratification in both Newton New Jersey and Midland Park New Jersey. The case against Florentino was investigated by Det. Neil Casey and Det. Thomas Tosti of Newton Police Department and Det. Dianne Rude and Det. David Perez-Rueda of Sussex County Prosecutor’s office. Aaron Semanchik, age 20, of Vernon pled guilty to one count of Criminal Sexual Contact, a fourth degree crime. On March 10 the defendant coerced an adult female to permit him to have sexual contact with her intimate parts against her will. The case against Semanchik was investigated by Det. Sean Talt, Vernon Police Department. Kathleen Ramage, 40, of Hackettstown pled guilty to third-degree theft. She admitted to removing approximately $12,000 cash from bank deposits on four separate occasions while she was employed at the Franklin WalMart June 25 Donald O’Brien, 38, of Vernon, was sentenced to five years New Jersey State Prison. O’Brien was also ordered to pay $3,600 in monetary penalties and to submit to DNA testing. He will also be required to register under Megan’s Law as a convicted sex offender. He pled guilty on Jan. 7 to an indictment charging him with two counts of distribution of child pornography, second-degree offenses. O’Brien to the court that on July 29, 2005 and July 30, 2005, he had used his computer and the Internet to distribute numerous images of children engaged in a prohibited sexual act. The case was investigated by Det. I Charles Allen of the New Jersey State Police-Digital Technology Unit after receiving a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) a federally mandated clearinghouse for child exploitation referrals. June 20 John Petsu, age 28, of Hamburg, was sentenced to 8 years state prison, $3,455 in fines, loss of driver’s license for 5 years and $1,838.98 in restitution. He pled guilty on April 21, 2008 to the third degree crime of burglary, three counts of third degree theft, one count of fourth degree false information to a police officer, one count of third degree possession of heroin and one count of second degree eluding. He admitted that in early August, 2006, he burglarized the home of a neighbor on several occasions during which he stole movable property valued at more than $500 and two motor vehicles. He also admitted on August 20, 2006, he gave false information to a police officer in Ogdensburg in order to avoid arrest. He also admitted to stealing a motor vehicle in Wantage on August 26, 2006 and to possessing heroin in Sparta on August 16, 2006. On December 8, 2007, he attempted to elude Sparta Police Officer Marc Rubino by traveling from Sparta to Rockaway Township on Route 15 in a stolen vehicle at speeds in excess of 100 mph. Anthony Compietello, age 19, of Hopatcong, was sentenced to three years probation, a substance abuse evaluation, 30 days S.L.A.P., $2,255 in fines and a six month loss of driver’s license. He pled guilty on April 21 to the third degree crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and the disorderly persons offenses of possession of a hypodermic syringe and drug paraphernalia. The police responded to his home and found him having overdosed on heroin which eventually resulted in the seizure of a syringe, one bag of heroin and one empty bag of heroin. June 23 Shawn Culleny, age 27, of Milford, PA, pled guilty to the third degree crimes of burglary and theft. He is scheduled for sentencing on July 14, 2008. He admitted to entering a motor vehicle and stealing tools out of it which he subsequently resold. . Evan Alexander, age 21, of Vernon, pled guilty to the fourth degree crime of failure to register as a Megan’s Law offender. He is scheduled for sentencing on August 8, 2008. He admitted that on May 14, 2008, he failed to comply with the registration requirements of the Town of Newton by changing his address to Vernon. Evelyn M. Wrobel, age 33, of Franklin pled guilty to burglary, a third degree crime. Sentencing is presently anticipated for August 1. She admitted to entering a home in Franklin on June 16, 2005 with three other people. One of them took a safe from the home, they all then took the money stored in the safe and spent it on marijuana, cigarettes and miscellaneous food items. June 24 A juvenile pled guilty on June 24 to third degree unlawful possession of a weapon and simple assault. She was adjudicated a juvenile delinquent by the court. The juvenile, age 16, was sentenced to 18 months probation on condition that she serve 22 days in the Juvenile Detention Center with credit for 22 days already served and a six month loss of her driver’s license. She must also attend school every day and follow all home and school rules, submit a DNA sample, undergo random drug testing, have no contact with the victim or co-defendant and pay $75 in court fines. The juvenile was in possession of a knife which she used to frighten the victim. June 25 Robert F. Chilenski, age 41, of Vernon Township was indicted with fourth degree crime of contempt of court for violating the terms of a temporary restraining order issued under the Prevention of Domestic Violence Act and the fourth degree crime of criminal trespass. The case was investigated by Ptl. Robert Kulawiak of the Vernon Township Police Department. It is alleged that Chilenski violated the terms of a temporary restraining order that prohibited him from entering a residence located in Vernon Township. A Grand Jury indictment is a charge only. The defendant is presumed innocent until guilt may be proved at a jury trial. Thomas J. Roerich, age 24, of Newton, was indicted with the third degree crime of failing to comply with Megan’s Law by failing to register with the Newton Police Department. The case was investigated by Det. Neil Casey of the Newton Police Department. It is alleged that Roerich moved to the Town of Newton and failed to register as a convicted sex offender. As a convicted sex offender under Megan’s Law, Roerich is required to register with the local police department in the town that he resides. The case was presented to the Grand Jury by Assistant Prosecutor Robin Lawrie. Arraignment before the Superior Court in Newton will be within the next 6 weeks. A Grand Jury indictment is a charge only. The defendant is presumed innocent until guilt may be proved at a jury trial. Michael Stanley, age 22, of East Stroudsburg, PA, pled guilty to Possession of CDS with Intent to Distribute, a fourth degree crime. Sentencing is presently anticipated for August 2008. Gregory M Whritenour, age 49, formerly of West Milford was indicted with two counts of the third degree crime of terroristic threats and one count of the fourth degree crime of contempt of court for violating the terms of a Final Restraining Order entered under the Prevention of Domestic Violence Act. The case was investigated by Ptl. Joseph D’Annibale of the Newton Police Department. It is alleged that after being served with a Final Restraining Order that prevented him from contacting the victim, Whritenour left numerous threatening messages on the victim’s work telephone voicemail, as well as on the voicemail of a coworker. A Grand Jury indictment is a charge only. The defendant is presumed innocent until guilt may be proved at a jury trial. Jeffrey Brandt, age 51, of Smyrna Tennessee pled guilty to one count of fourth degree stalking and one count of fourth degree criminal trespass. Between September 1, 2006 and June 2007 the defendant repeatedly contacted the victim and engaged in a course of conduct that placed the victim in a reasonable fear of bodily injury. Also on May 2, 2007 the defendant entered a residence knowing he was not permitted to do so. The case against Brandt was investigated by Det. Eric Mueller and Detective Greg Lewis of the New Jersey State Police. June 26 A juvenile pled guilty on June 26, to third degree burglary. He was adjudicated a juvenile delinquent by the court. The juvenile, age 17, was sentenced to an additional six months on his current probation he is serving for a different matter and 14 days in the Juvenile Detention Center, suspended. He must also attend school every day and follow all home and school rules, maintain part-time employment, have no contact with co-defendants or Mountain Creek, submit a DNA sample, undergo random drug testing, testify truthfully against co-defendants, pay court fines of $45 and restitution of $3190 with co-defendants. In March the juvenile, along with other juvenile and adult co-defendants entered a building not open to the public at Mountain Creek and took various items. A juvenile pled guilty on June 26 to third degree possession of heroin. He was adjudicated a juvenile delinquent by the court. The juvenile, age 16, was sentenced to probation until he is 18 years of age, 21 days in the Juvenile Detention Center with credit for 21 days served and a six month loss of driver’s license. He must also complete an intensive outpatient drug treatment program, counseling, submit a DNA sample, undergo random drug testing and pay $1070 in court fines. While police were responding to a mother/son dispute it was discovered that the juvenile was in possession of heroin. A juvenile pled guilty on June 26 to burglary - accomplice liability, a crime of the third degree. He was adjudicated a juvenile delinquent by the court. The juvenile, age 17, was sentenced to 12 months probation on condition that he complete 40 hours community service, attend school every day and follow all home and school rules, have no contact with co-defendants or Mountain Creek, submit a DNA sample, undergo random drug testing, testify truthfully against co-defendants, pay court fines of $45 and restitution of $3190 with co-defendants.
