    The following area students have been named to the dean’s list for the Fall 2009 semester at York College of Pennsylvania. They are Kaitlin Mattson of Hamburg; Layfayette residents Sarah Hayes, Justin Kalaskey, Erica Miller and Michelle Pease; Christina Carbonell and Amanda Ottalagano of Stanhope; Newton residents Melissa Chia and Carolyn Inga; and Andover residents Shanna Gilligan and Chelsea Pavelchak. Ashley Patete of Hardyston graduated summa cum laude in December from East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania. She is an elementary/special education major. Kenneth Hanley of Vernon was named to the dean’s list for the Fall 2009 semester at Montclair State University, where he is majoring in film writing. Murphy of Hamburg has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 semester at East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania. A group of area students were recently named to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 semester at King’s College in Wlkes-Barre, Pa. They are: Vincent Laconti and Amanda Peterson of Highland Lakes; Christine Guarino of Oak Ridge; Tessa Destefano, Roseanne Freykar and Elsbeth Williams of Wantage ; Richard Rogers of Blairstown; Loren Kessell and Ryan Oakley of Hackettstown; Patrick Maloney of Lafayette ; Patrick Gonabe of Lake Hopatcong; Daniel Simpson of Newton; and Jonathan Ferrie and Danielle Murray of Sparta. Meredith Watts of Hamburg was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 Semester at Montclair State University, where she is majoring in accounting. Two students were named to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 semester at Lebanon Valley College, in Annville, Pa.: Kathleen E. Brennan of Highland Lakes, a sophomore, and MaryKatherine E. Mitchell of Sussex, a senior studying psychology and religion.
