STANHOPE — The Jefferson Township Falcons beat the Lenape Valley Patriots in girls' varsity softball on May 15. The game was played at Lenape Valley in Stanhope.
Melissa Jurkiewicz allowed one run on six hits over seven innings to lead Jefferson to a 3-1 victory. Claudia Tietz went 1 for 4 with a double and two RBIs for Jefferson, which scored all three runs in the first inning.
