FRANKLIN — In RJ Baumgartner’s and Debra Briller’s sixth grade social studies class at Franklin Borough School, students examined the mummification process first-hand during their unit on Egypt.
They washed, oiled and salted the pharaoh’s body for purification and preservation. They removed “organs” and put them into canopic jars. Finally, they wrapped the body in linen strips.
