Keeping faith with yesterday

The Highland Lakes family was among the many who spent time at the Barrett Farm in Vernon for the Garden State Black Powder Association rendezvous, where people from all over the region gathered to try out the ways of life in the days before 1840. The weekend included outdoor cooking, music and a variety of long-forgotten skills.
