Vernon The five-day week in Vernon’s municipal building will resume starting March 29. Although the union representing municipal workers had tried to keep the four-day week through summer, Vernon’s Township Council voted to return the full-week schedule. Union representatives had told Acting Township Manager Robin Kline that they “did not believe the five-day work week affected the public.” That wasn’t how the council members felt, though. As council discussed the change during a recent council meeting, councilman Michael Pier asked the audience members if they were inconvenienced by the four-day week and received a resounding “Yes.”
