The Rev. Brown School, in Sparta, recently had a special presentation within its Christmas concert. This year, the musical program opened with a performance by the new Rev. Brown School Strings Program, under the direction of Sue Chuang-Tsay. She has a Cello Performance degree from The Juilliard School and a Master of Education degree specializing in music education from the Teachers College at Columbia University. Students in the first and second grades are eligible for cello and violin instruction each week. The instruction classes are small to allow for individual attention so the students can develop their musical talents. These young students delivered their first performance at this concert and are preparing for their upcoming performance with the New Sussex Symphony in March.
