Walter Webb celebrates 90th

Franklin — Walter Webb of Franklin celebrated his 90th birthday on Valentine’s Day. With his three children, Richard Webb of Hamburg, Evelyn Darvalics of Franklin and Linda Kim VanTassel of Florida. Also in attendance were his six grandsons and their families including seven great-grandchildren, other family members and friends. Several family members traveled from as far away as Florida and California to help celebrate this special birthday. He had been the owner and manager of Webb’s News, which had been owned and operated by his parents and located in Franklin for more than 75 years, starting out as newspaper delivery business. He is also an exempt member of the Franklin Fire Department.
