    Frankling residents Kurt Miller and Jamie Miller were named to the dean’s sist for the spring 2009 Semester at Ramapo College in Mahwah. Two Sussex residents graduated from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn. They are Heather M. Smith, with a master’s degree in teaching; and Megan E. Smith, with a doctor degree in physical therapy. Kirsten Tandberg of Glenwood was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2009 semester at Ramapo College of New Jersey. She is a 2005 graduate of Vernon Township High School and a biology/pre-med major. Rebecca Roodenburg of Oak Ridge and Jacob Stark of Newton were named to the dean’s list for the spring 2009 semester at the University of New Haven in West Haven, Conn. Brandy L Justice of Stanhope and Stockholm resident Meghan M. Owens graduated from the University of New Haven in West Haven, Conn. with a bachelor’s. Five area residents were named to the dean’s list for the spring 2009 semester at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Conn. They are: Tyler Mefford of Hamburg; Newton residents Heather Graham, Tara Lavecchia and Alexandra Simeone;and Sarah Mugavero of Stockholm. Sussex residents Alison Trovillion and Kristen Winfield were named to the dean’s list for the spring 2009 semester at The College of Saint Rose in Albany, N.Y. Kira M. Stanley of Sparta was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2009 semester at Frostburg State University in Maryland. She is an early education major and dance minor. Sparta resident Kyle W. Hampson was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2009 semester at the L.C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science at Syracuse University in Syracuse, N.Y. He is a mechanical engineering major and is a 2007 graduate of Sparta High School. Nick P. Kehoe of Wantage was named to dean’s list for the spring 2009 semester at Virgina Tech in Blacksburg, Va. Richard Justin Hagie of Andover graduated with honors in December 2008 from Methodist University in Fayetteville, N.C. with a bachelor’s degree, cum laude, in business adminstration, with a concentration in professional golf management. Hagie had been a four year recipient of the Presidential Scholarship Award from Methodist University, the George Jackson Memorial Scholarship, the Jon Pritsch Memorial Scholarship, the John P. Santulli Memorial Scholarship, and the Metropolitan Golf Association Caddie Scholarship. At Methodist University, Hagie was also a member of Delta Mu Delta Business Honor Society. Professional golf internships were completed at Panther Valley Country Club, Fishers Island Club, the Ridgewood Country Club and The National Golf Links in Southhampton, N.Y. After graduation, Hagie was inducted into the PGA of America. He is now the National’s first assistant golf head professional, competing in PGA events in the New York PGA Metro Section. He is a 2004 Pope John graduate. Sparta resident Andrew Nerviano, a sophomore majoring in television, radio and film at the Newhouse School at Syracuse University in Syracuse, N.Y., has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2009 semester. Four area students have graduated with bachelor’s degrees from Lafayette College in Easton, Pa. They are: Michael David Marin of Branchville; Victoria Diane Melroy of Fredon; and Sparta residents Jill Stephanie Carey and Robyn Alyson Matchett. Vernon resident Kristin Tarczynski was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2008 and spring 2009 semesters at the Hartt School of Music within the University of Hartford in Hartford, Conn. Sparta resident Victoria Johnson was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2009 semester at Mt. Ida College, where she is an interior design major. Emily Anne MacDonald of Sussex graduated from Framingham State College in Framingham, Mass. with a bachelor’s degree in education. Five area students were named tot he dean’s list for the spring 2009 semester at Lafayette College in Easton, Pa. They are: Thomas James Wilson of Franklin; Kelsey Elizabeth Boyd of Lafayette; Sarajane Kaplan of Newton; Jill Stephanie Carey of Sparta; and Hannah Catherine Smock of Stanhope.
