    Augusta — Organizers promise “an afternoon of rockin’ blues” when Eight Days of Blues take the stage at Peters Valley natural amphitheater on the green on Sunday, May 3 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. The Open House & Bevans Day concert is part of a full day of music, studio tours, demonstrations, crafts, food, kids’ art and exhibits. The six-piece Eight Days of Blues performs music for people of all ages, including original, Chicago and Texas-style blues and music that blends Latin, jazz, rock and traditional R&B. Fronted by Lance Casper of Montague, with Dingmans Ferry, Pa., resident Mark Egan and Vernon’s Don Sandberg on drums, Mary Jasch of Augusta on keyboard, Hardwick Township’s Wesley Powers on bass and Middletown, N.Y., resident Glen Juengling on rhythm and lead guitar. Since age 10, Sandberg has played in high school marching bands, Drum & Bugle Corps and garage bands in California, country, rock and blues in Memphis and covers in New Jersey. Eight Days of Blues has their own style and doesn’t cover anyone. “We take songs done by blues greats and work them into our style and sound,” Casper says. “Expect to give your ears and feet a treat.” If you go Eight Days of Blues will perform on the green at Peters Valley Craft Center, 19 Kuhn Road, Layton, May 3, 2:30-4:30.
