‘Spring Fling Expo' at Institute for Spiritual Development and Holistic Center

SPARTA — The Institute for Spiritual Development and Holistic Center in Sparta will hold a “Spring Fling Expo” Saturday, May 22 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The day includes mini workshops, a psychic fair and concludes with “Shamanic Drumming Journey to the Other World.” John Welshons, author of “Awakening from Grief” and “Why Prayers Aren’t Answered,” will be introduce his latest book, “One Soul, One Love, One Heart the Path to Healing all Relationships.” He will lead a workshop that “will show how every individual can find their own sacred path,” according to organizers. A meditation workshop and book signing will follow. The event will also include: The works of local artist Betty Gonter will be exhibited. Kathy Kerston, director of the institute and international astrologer, will be leading a workshop entitled “Meet Venus and Mars.” Jill Kneer, certified EFT practitioner and experienced psychic, will give a workshop called “Creating Peace in Relationships.” “Healing Qigong” Mark Gallagher, teacher and master of Tai Chi for over 20 years, “will work with ways to energize and heal oneself by re-vitalizing the chi energy,” organizers added. “Hands on Healing” Terence Mulligan, healer and psychic medium, will give a talk and lead an exercise. “The Healing Experience” is a mid day break where all who those wanting to participate in a “healing circle” led by Helen Buckley, reiki master, certified massage therapist, certified matrix practitioner. Other healers will also be present to do healings from “the disciplines of spiritual healing, matrix energetics, emotional freedom technique and shamanic healing” added organizers. Shaman John Drinkard, who is also a psychic and medium, “will be drumming and chanting us into a ‘journey to the other world,’” said organizers, and “everyone present will have the opportunity to experience their own journey.” There will be an all day Psychic Fair with the institute’s featuring psychic, mediumship, tarot, palmistry, psychometry, angel cards and scrying readers. An $8 admission fee all workshops and drumming journey, with an additional $10 fee for Welshons’ class. Psychic fair readings are $25 for 15 minutes. All readings are for entertainment purposes only.
