Poodle Parade in Lafayette Village on Saturday.
LAFAYETTE — Poodles, dogs dressed like poodles and their owners marched around Lafayette Village during the Poodle Parade held Saturday.
The doggie parade was held as part of the Village's April in Paris celebration on Saturday and Sunday. Poodle owners were encouraged to show off their pooches.
Prizes were awarded for the most creative cut/color and dog in drag (a dog dressed as a poodle).
First place winner was India from Maplewood and her pooch Gingersnap, second place Elyse Lane of New Milford with her apricot poodle Dakota and third place was Alyson Capara of Green Township with Remy.
The weekend also included samplings of speciality French food, live music and a wine tasting.
