Jefferson Recreation to sponsor circus trip

JEFFERSON — The Jefferson Township Recreation Department will host a day at Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey’s Barnum’s “FUNundrum” circus show, celebrating the 200th anniversary, of P.T. Barnum’s birthday, at The IZOD Center at the Meadowlands on Friday, March 12 for the 7:30 p.m. performance. At 6:30 p.m, participants will have a pre-show experience at where they will step on to the arena floor, “clown” around, see “a picture-painting pachyderm,” try on a Ringmaster’s jacket, and get autographs from circus performers. A bus will leave the Jefferson Township Municipal Building at 5 p. m. sharp, and expected departure from the arena following the show is 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $35 per person and include lower level reserved seats, round trip bus transportation, and driver gratuity. A responsible adult must accompany children under the age of 18, and there are no refunds unless your ticket can be resold.
