NEWTON — Morris Crossroads Corporate Center will be the new location for this year’s Evening of Wine & Roses, Newton Memorial Hospital Foundation’s annual fundraiser, to be held on March 25. “You can’t beat it in terms of functionality and aesthetics,” said Megan Sandow, hospital VP of development. “As the popularity and attendance of this event grows each year, it becomes increasingly important that we find venues which are easily accessible and can handle the capacity.” The facility is located in Mt. Olive, only 13 miles from Newton Memorial Hospital’s main campus. “Another advantage to changing the location is to give more restaurants from southern Sussex County and even Morris County an opportunity to join us this year and share their delicacies with attendees, which typically top 700 every year,” Sandow said. “It’s a great way for restaurants to highlight to a new audience what sets them apart from the competition.” Sponsored by RoNetco Supermarkets, this year’s Wine & Roses event will once again include a yet-to-be-named celebrity chef as the featured guest of the exclusive VIP Wine & Roses package. The evening will include wines and spirits, as well as food from regional restaurants. It also includes opportunities to win a variety of prizes, including a trip for two to San Francisco and a $1,000-per-ticket contest to win a Mercedes E350C. All proceeds raised from the event will benefit the 2010 Annual Giving Program which supports capital equipment, technology, programs and services at Newton Memorial Hospital. Other major sponsors include, Champagne Grand Event Sponsor, The Selective Group Foundation as well as Bordeaux Sponsors, Cohn Benefit Consultants and T.A. Mountford, Co.
