Chatterbox goes Back to the Future'
AUGUSTA The Chatterbox Drive-In hosted Delorean Entertainment’s Time Machine and celebrity look-alikes for a “Back to the Future” benefit for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. The popular 1980s film stars Michael J. Fox’s as Marty McFly, who is transported to the 1950s making the Chatterbox’s 1950s look a perfect backdrop. A live commercial was shot by Delorean Entertainment and featured look-a-likes of Marty McFly, Dr. Emmett “Doc” Brown and Lorraine Baines McFly. Eric Sellin of Delorean Entertainment played the role of Doc, Matt Bell of Bordentown acted as Marty McFly, and Kelly Henderson of Wantage played the role of Lorraine. Henderson, who is a teacher at the Stillwater Township Elementary School, was discovered by Sellin at The Chatterbox. She has been working at the establishment part-time since age 15. Henderson said she has often been told of her resemblance to Lea Thompson and did not see it until her hair was cut for Locks of Love. Henderson likes the movie series and her students have been excited about her participation. “Many of them told me they will be coming today,” she smiled. Bell, a physical education and nutrition student at William Paterson University, linked up with Sellin, who had the Delorean Time Machine in Morristown on Halloween. The trio and Delorean Entertainment hopes there will be other events to help raise funds for Fox’s Foundation. Additionally, W.W.E. (World Wrestling Entertainment) legends Tito Santana and Brutis the Barber Beef Cake were on hand to sign autographs and take pictures with the crowd. Don Hall, owner of The Chatterbox Drive-In said, “It’s been fantastic. It’s a great cause and tons of fun. What’s better than Back to the Future’ and WWE? The movie transcends age groups. It’s been 25 years and children are now fans. I credit Eric and Delorean Entertainment for organizing this. We’re just the venue.”
