The Skylands Sierra Club will host a discussion of the Green New Deal, led by Skylands Group Chair Greg Gorman at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, at Unitarian Fellowship Hall, 1 West Nelson St., Newton.
Gorman will speak about Green New Deal, which is a set of economic stimulus policies being considered by some in the U.S. Congress. He will discuss the proposed strategies for tackling the climate crisis, creating jobs, and fighting inequity.
In addition to serving as Chair of the local Skylands Sierra Club, Greg Gorman is Conservation Chair for the New Jersey Sierra Club Chapter.
