Trump is the best presidential candidate for our Republic’s preservation

    To the Editor:

While letters to the editor fly to and fro about Trump and Republicans this and Democrats and Biden that, what is the average, headline-only reading citizen to do when it comes to voting in November? I would propose they simply consider what each party stands for. In engineering terms, think of it as “main effects.” There are countless little issues that surely overwhelm us, we should all focus on direct threats to our republic. In light of recent events such as riots, big tech subversion, and documented but under-reported quotes, any reasonable person should consider a vote for Biden-Harris to be one for subversion.

Before you throw up your hands and say I advocate arrest and trial of every liberal, I will directly quote Evelyn Beatrice Hall (regarding Voltaire): “I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend you to the death to say it.” I truly believe this, and we should all grow thicker skin and realize that in free societies people disagree. It does not mean I hate you. It does not mean I will not buy your product. It definitely does not mean I’m racist. Or sexist. Or homophobic. But I am my own person, and in this country I am empowered and free. And if you are a socialist, so be it, you have the freedom to be as such in this country. The problem comes when one advocates active overthrow and subversion of government outside the electoral democratic process. It is worse yet when forces within our own government advocate such action.

Here are a few items that stand out in regards to the present Democrat establishment. In an interview with Stephen Colbert on June 17th, Kamala Harris advocated for violent protests, saying “Everyone should take note of that, on both levels, that they’re not going to let up — and they should not. And we should not.” Advocating violence and destruction of personal property is treasonous.

The ultimate irony is that leftists call Trump a “Nazi.” This is the German word short for “National Socialist German Workers’ Party,” who helped Hitler gain power through dismantling police and ratting out dissidents in the 1930’s. Sound familiar? It is supreme irony that the left uses such verbiage when referring to Conservatives and Libertarians. So those suburbanites aligning with BLM and Antifa, you are actually the brown shirts and Nazis. It is Trump who stands for freedom, order, a functional republic, and American exceptionalism in an age of tyranny and bloated government programs. While America still works through its past woes and scars, Trump consistently stands with and for the United States and its people against globalism and socialism, even confronting the treacherous billionaires at the Davos conference. So no matter what you think of Trump, he is the best presidential candidate for our Republic’s preservation.
