    To the Editor:

Heaven Hill Farm had the privilege to partner with Wallkill Valley Regional High School’s Future Business Leaders of America, or FBLA, for the third time this 2021 Fall Harvest Festival season. These hardworking volunteers impress us every year with their dedication, organization, and excellent customer service skills. With the thousands of guests we have annually, these teens expertly direct our parking lots, making the process move as smoothly as possible. We are grateful for the opportunity to donate to the chapter in compensation for their commitment this season.

The FBLA is an association that teaches students to become community-minded business leaders with career preparation and leadership experiences. There are multiple competitive events throughout the year where the students are able to show what they have learned through written tests, presentations, and speaking opportunities. With almost 200,000 members worldwide, the FBLA allows the students to network with students and businesspeople and exposes them to a variety of career choices through workshops and other activities. The funds raised through their work at Heaven Hill Farm go towards funding any FBLA activity that the volunteers choose to partake in, whether that is state or national conferences. From our time spent with the WVRHS students, it is obvious that they are not only proud to be a part of this organization, but also excited.

There are multiple ways to support Wallkill Valley Regional High School’s Future Business Leaders of America. They are always looking for local businesspeople to speak to the students and offer insights into their career field. If interested in donating, any financial support received goes directly to the students who are going to conferences. Lastly, keep an eye out for their yearly fundraising events, such as their March of Dimes fundraiser, which they have placed first in the nation as the school that raised the most money several years in a row.
