Newton High School defeated High Point Regional High School in varsity football on Friday, Sept. 27, 2019. The final score was 34-13. The game took place at Newton High School.

Quarterback Jack Young passed for 339 yards resulting in 4 touchdowns for Newton. Ryan Pappas made nine catches for 161 yards resulting in three touchdowns. Wide receiver Dylan Bailey made 5 catches for 88 yards resulting in 1 touchdown. Wide receiver Aaron Fantasia caught five passes for 65 yards.

Running back Travis Tallamy rushed for 52 yards resulting in one touchdown for High Point. Connor Lake rushed for 35 yards.
