High Point falls in tourney opener

    Mikayla Cooke scored four goals and had two assists, leading Kittatinny to an 18-6 win over High Point in the first round of the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex girls' alcrosse tournament on Saturday, May 4.
    Madisen Dippel scored two goals and had four assists for Kittatinny (8-6). Katie Callahan, Geneva Loff, Tia Melvin, Carly Rigby and Madison Woollen scored two goals apiece. Cassidy Mulroy and Madison Nowatnick scored one goal apiece.
    Kittatinny goalkeepers Emily Dyminski and Jessica Smalley split time on the field. Dyminski made 10 saves and Smalley made 8 saves.
    Kate Finnegan scored three goals for High Point (1-10). Vanessa Sinacore scored two goals. Lauren Weiss scored one goal. Julianne Mangano contributed one assist.
