Local students honored by Centenary University

Hackettstown. Centenary University recognized its outstanding students at a virtual academic awards ceremony on April 22.

The 20 students lauded for notable academic achievement included John Brizek of Oak Ridge, who was awarded the Elaine Stewart-Tyrrell Memorial Scholarship; Alissa Mor of West Milford, who was awarded Outstanding Achievement in Science, Second or Third Year Student; and Amanda Baker of Hopatcong, who received the Centenary University Criminal Justice Achievement Award.

The annual event was held in the George H. Whitney Chapel and broadcast later.

The university’s main campus is located in Hackettstown, N.J., with its equestrian facility in Washington Township.
