Students honored for their art

The Student Artist of the Month from the Ellen T. Briggs School and the Arthur Stanlick School are shown with their certificates and medals that were awarded to them at the recent presentations made by the Jefferson Arts Committee and the Jefferson Township Art Teachers. The Jefferson Arts Committee and the Art Teachers of the Jefferson Township School System made their presentations to the Student Artists of the Month at the Township Library for the month of January.
The students honored this month were Dakota Parker and Dylan Wendlocher of the Middle School, Zachary Frank and Katherine Machere of the High School, Coley Clarkson from the Cozy Lake School, Max Woelfel from White Rock School, Hannah Maynard from Arthur Stanlick School and Kwadjo Mansah from the Ellen T. Briggs School.
All student artists were awarded Certificates of Outstanding Achievement and a Fine Arts Medal.
The art work will remain on display at the library until Feb. 13 and is open to the public.
