Local resident Keith Collins is continuing his annual acts of good will for families in need during the Christmas season. With COVID-19 having negatively impacted so many lives, Collins feels that those adversely affected right here in Sussex County could use some holiday cheer.

This Christmas Day, after a hard night in the sleigh, Santa Keith will direct his gift giving to any family in our area who may need or wish to enjoy a free Christmas gift. He will contact local churches, hospitals and residents to solicit names of those who can use a positive boost, and make in person deliveries on December 25th to their homes.

In anticipation of this special day, Collins expressed that “it would be a shame if one person in need on Christmas does not receive the benefit of holiday spirit and the real meaning of Christmas.”

This is not the first time that Collins has given of his time and resources for Christmas day, nor will it be the last. He is always moved by the smiles on the faces of children who receive the gifts. “Those smiles remain etched in my mind and strongly motivate me to continue this tradition,” Collins said.

Now through Dec. 22, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at the Holiday Toy drop box at Frosty’s Cantina & Winter Workshop, located at Minerals Hotel, Route 94 in Vernon. For more information on how to donate, email keithdcollins77@gmail.com.
