Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice joins with families each holiday season to remember the lives of loved ones. The Lights of Life Memorial Tree Lighting has been a seasonal staple for friends and family in the tristate area for over 30 years.

● The Warren County Lights of Life Memorial and Tree Lighting will be held Tuesday, Nov. 30, at 7 p.m. at the Wayne Dumont Jr. Administration Building, 165 Route 519 South, Belvidere, N.J.

● The Sussex County Lights of Life Memorial will be held Wednesday, Dec. 1, at 7 p.m. at the gazebo on the Newton Town Square at the intersection of Routes 206 and 94, Newton, N.J.

● The Pike County Lights of Life memorial will be held Thursday, Dec. 2, at 7 p.m. at Memorial Park, located on the corner of Catharine and 5th Street in Milford, Pa.

● A virtual presentation which will air on Tuesday evening, Dec. 7.

At each service are guest readers who include area leaders, hospice employees, volunteers and family members. At the conclusion of each presentation, a memorial tree will be lit. The thousands of white lights and decorative stars throughout the three counties represent donations sent to Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice in memory of a family member or friend.

“These are very special evenings for so many and each are highlighted with music and thoughtful reflections,” said Julia Quinlan, co-founder and president of Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice.

Donors and those receiving acknowledgements of a Lights of Life Memorial gift will be sent the Zoom information to view and share. A DVD of the Lights of Life virtual presentation costs $9.99.

“The memorial service and tree lightings provide a meaningful way for people to come together and share the emotions commonly experienced throughout the holidays,” said Louis Ruggiero president of Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home, which has been the event sponsor for 30 years. Planet Networks is another community sponsor.

Lights of Life offers three levels of participation, from $20 to $200. To remember a loved one this holiday season, visit karenannquinlanhospice.org/lights or call 973-383-0115.
