Newton — Sussex County Community Campus will hold an Open House from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Oct. 21 in the Galleria and Sussex Bank Theater at the college, located in Building D. Prospective students will have the chance to tour the campus and to meet with a counselor to assist them in deciding on a major, choosing a career path or to discuss academic options. Attendees can also learn about the different degree and certificate programs, academic support services, athletics and student activities. Faculty and staff will be on hand to discuss programs of study, answer questions about financial aid and offer tours of the campus. Sussex provides many options for those looking to start their college career and then transfer to a four-year school. The college has transfer programs with every public and private college and university in New Jersey. In addition, Sussex County Community College and Rutgers University have partnered to offer dual admissions. This allows students to be accepted to Rutgers, attend Sussex for their first two years and then enter Rutgers with full junior status on their way to receiving a degree. The application fee will be waived for anyone interested in Instant Admissions and a continental breakfast will be served for all those in attendance. For more information, call 973-300-2223.
