In early October, Sussex County Community College launched Sussex Partnerships in Community Education. This continuing education training series is with SCCC’s first community partner, Ames Rubber Corporation, in Hamburg, New Jersey.

The Training will begin a year-long relationship designed to provide Ames with grant-funded training to upskill selected members of its workforce who might potentially assume management positions in the company.

Participants who successfully complete the training are eligible to earn a certificate of completion from Sussex County Community College and possibly continue their studies at the College in the future in a certificate or degree program.

SPICE provides training for interested community organizations in such areas as communication skills (verbal and written), management/leadership skills, computer skills (basic and advanced), and other types of customized, grant-funded training programs. Interested employers should contact Dominic J. Carbone, Ph.D., Dean of Program Advancement and New/Strategic Initiatives at dcarbone@sussex.edu or Linda Connor, Coordinator at lconnor@sussex.edu.
