Wilbur R. Havens

Wilbur R. Havens of Wantage, N.J., passed away on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021, at his residence. He was 76.

Born in Sussex to the late Ralph W. and Laura (Pittinger) Havens, Wilbur has lived in the Wantage area all of his life. He had worked in his family’s business for most of his life and was co-owner and operator of Haven’s Bus and Trucking Service of Wantage.

Wilbur was a member of the National School Bus Association, the New Jersey School Bus Association, and the former Sussex County School Bus Association.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife of 45 years, Gail E. Havens. Wilbur is survived by his two sons, Eric Havens and Christopher Havens both of Wantage; his daughter, Saundra Jung of Wantage; his brother, Ralph C. Havens and his wife Vickie of Wantage; and his five grandchildren, Heather Lancaster, Jessica Jung, Alexander Havens, Sarah Havens, and Abigail Havens.

Private cremation services have been entrusted to the Pinkel Funeral Home, Sussex.
