Paul Edward Weekley of Newton, N.J., passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021, at home surrounded by his family. He was 74.

Paul was born to the late Kenneth and Georgia (Johnson) Weekley on July 23, 1946, in Parkersburg, W.V.

He moved to New Jersey in 1965 and lived in Franklin for 40 years before moving to Newton three years ago. He was a proud veteran who served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. After coming back from the military, Paul went to Burlington County Community College, where he received his associate’s degree.

Paul was a sales and marketing manager for Sunshine Biscuits/Otis Spunkmeyer in New Jersey, retiring with more than 30 years of service. He was a member of Franklin Presbyterian Church and Sparta Presbyterian Church. Paul was an avid football fan and enjoyed playing golf.

The beloved husband of Sayla Weekley, Paul is survived by his children, Jon Paul Weekley of Philadelphia, Pa., Sharon Suriano of Fredon, N.J., and Andrew Weekley of Franklin, N.J.; as well as his grandchildren, Cole Weekley, Raegan Weekley, and Matthew Suriano.

Services are private and are under the direction of the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, Newton, N.J.
