Nicholas Samuel Tenk of Greenwood Lake, N.Y., passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020. He was 66.
Born to Albert and Anita Tenk in Paterson, N.J., he was a resident of Vernon Township, N.J., for 25 years before moving to Greenwood Lake eight years ago.
Nicholas worked as a manager and planner for Mane USA in Wayne, N.J., and as a fragrance and flavor compounder for many years, retiring in 2012. Nicholas was an avid fisherman, motorcycle enthusiast, and sports follower, and was best known as a dedicated family man.
Nicholas was predeceased by his grandson, Jordin Tenk, in 2019; and a brother, Richard Tenk, in 1992.
He is the beloved husband for 44 years of the woman he met when he was 15 years old, Cheryl Tenk (nee Wallace) of Greenwood Lake, N.Y.; devoted father of Jason Tenk and his wife, Sandra, of Highland Lakes, N.J., Matthew Tenk of Mahwah, N.J., and Jessica Marines and her husband, Steven, of Barry Lakes, N.J.; loving grandfather of Landon Marines, Peyton Tenk, Sophia Marines, Aiden Tenk, and Ryder Marines.
Private cremation services were held under the direction of Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, Vernon, N.J.
