Kelli J. Harrell of Frankford Township, N.J., died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021, at home after a battle with cancer. She was 53.

Kelli was born in Newton, N.J., and was a lifelong Sussex County resident. She was a proud dog breeder and bred champion English Labrador retrievers. Her dogs meant the world to her. She graduated from High Point Regional High School and was Miss Lafayette. She was an extremely talented artist who enjoyed baking fancy cakes.

Kelli was a funny person with a wonderful laugh and a great sense of humor. She was strong, giving, caring, and loving. Kelli loved flowers, gardening, and animals. She was always supportive of her children whether they were racing motorcycles or Irish dancing. She loved to travel and especially enjoyed Ireland.

Kelli was predeceased by her husband, James R. Harrell.

She is survived by her son, James Harrell and wife, Sarah, of Lafayette, N.J.; her daughter, Devyn Harrell of Montague, N.J.; her beloved grandchildren, Charlotte, Kya, Greylon, Letty, and Lyric; her parents, John and Cyndie Lucey of Lafayette; her sister, Kirsten Haurey of Lafayette, and her children, Collin and Lexie Haurey; her brother, Patrick Lucey and wife, Jill, of Lafayette and their children, Jeremy, Ryan, and Hannah; and her aunt, Sallie Schurich and husband, Frank, of Lafayette. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins in Ireland.

A memorial visitation was held Feb. 27 at Wood Funeral Home, Branchville, N.J. with a funeral service following. Burial of cremains will take place in Frankford Plains Cemetery at a later date.
