James J. Davidson

James J. Davidson of Ogdensburg, N.J., passed away at Limecrest Subacute and Rehabilitation Center in Andover, N.J. He was 86.

Born in Hawthorne, N.J., to the late John and Anna Davidson, Jim was raised in Paterson, N.J., and resided in West Caldwell, N.J., before moving to Sussex County in 2001. He had been a manager at Hostess Cakes in Saddle Brook, N.J., for 36 years before his retirement.

Jim is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Jean (Soder) Davidson; son, James M. Davidson of Ogdensburg; daughters, Jackie Haar and her husband, Gary, of Franklin, N.J., and Cheryl Mele of Jefferson, N.J.; grandchildren, Nicole, Carmine, Dan, Chris, and Cody; and great-grandchildren, Cadence, Cam, Reed, Thea, Ben, and Cole.

Funeral services were held April 6 at the Pinkel Funeral Home, Sussex, N.J. Friends paid their respects to the family prior to the service. Private cremation service were held at the convenience of the family.
