Lindsay Dunn to play Sandy

HARDYSTON — Lindsay Dunn of Hardyston, a 2011 graduate of Wallkill Valley High School, won the lead roll of "Sandy" in the Musical "Grease" at Plays-in-the-Park, in Edison.

Lindsay is currently attending Wagner College, on Staten Island, N.Y., where she is studying theater. Last year she won the Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Award for Lead Actress in a musical for her portrayal of Millie Dillmount in the Wallkill High production of "Thoroughly Modern Millie." She went on to represent the state at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards in New York City.

Plays-in-the-Park celebrates its 50th anniversary season this year and has been cited for the excellence of its productions. The lighting, scenic & costume designs of each of their productions are generally based on the Broadway originals.

Many performers who have appeared on stage at Plays-in-the-Park have gone on to successful professional careers on Broadway.

See the show Performances for "Grease" will be Aug. 1 to 11, with no Sunday performance. All shows begin at 8:30 p.m. Performances are outdoors and attendees need to bring their own chairs. Performances may be cancelled due to rain.
