Pictured are workers on the Heritage Trail, which is making its way to downtown Middletown with a new four-mile section about to open from the Village of Goshen border to Hartley Road. This scenic section will pass under Route 17M and through the 6 1/2 Station Road sanctuary, a 62-acre marshland purchased by the Orange County Audubon Society in 1981. The Heritage Trail is a linear park popular with bicyclists, hikers, roller-bladers, and stroller-pushers, and managed by the Orange County Parks and Recreation. It will eventually stretch from Harriman to the east and Middletown to the west. (Photo: Orange County Parks and Recreation)
