A True Farm to Bottle Operation

Celebrating its fifth anniversary this year, Orange County Distillery started out as a side project for owners Bryan Ensall and John Glebocki and it’s now a booming business. The distillery is so popular it’s had to limit the number of events to avoid having to turn people away.

Orange County Distillery boasts a red barn, gray barn, and of course: Brown Barn, which is literally a brown barn that hosts the distillery’s tasting room. At Brown Barn, customers can sit outside on a picnic table, or get cozy inside in one of two different spaces for lounging.
Their events area big draw. Yoga and Cocktail, for example. People come in for a yoga class and then are rewarded with a free drink. There are also fire pits, live music, trivia and movie nights.
It all began at a Christmas party, where Ensall and Glebocki (whose wives are cousins) got together and decided to make vodka. Ensall laughs as he recalls “we started out moonshining and then wanted to go legit,” which is why they used Glebocki’s farm lands to start their own distillery. Now they have all of the resources and connections they need to provide beer, wine, and cider to the black dirt region.
What to get at Orange County Distillery?
Ensall says the bourbon, rye, and honey flavored whiskey are the most popular orders, but don’t skip out on trying any of their various hard spirits.
