Forward Franklin hosts Wellness Expo

Forward Franklin continued to build community and inspire health by hosting its 2nd Annual Health and Wellness Expo.
Over 30 Wellness Expo Exhibits were set up in the Franklin Borough School gymnasium. Attendees were encouraged to stop by each booth to get information and collect a sticker. Those that obtained a sticker from all the exhibits were entered in a drawing to win door prizes.
Prizes included a K&P Holistic Health and Fitness Gift Certificate, Painted Grape Adult Paint & Sip gift certificate, Walgreens gift basket, 3-month family membership to the Sussex County YMCA, a healthy eating and exercising tote donated by SNAP-ED, newborn feeding kit with formula given by Skylands Pediatrics, a Bundle of Fun donated by Primerica Team Trapp, and an Alta FitBit donated by Franklin Borough Recreation.
Games for the children were provided, giving adults an opportunity to also learn more information about community health services such has nutrition, library services, mental health services, mammograms and other cancer screenings, how to us coupons and how to teach children about finances.
In one corner of the gymnasium, various questions were posed on giant posters allowing the community to give feedback and share ideas and to also say what he or she loved about Franklin.
Many attendees said they loved the Pond and small hometown feel.
