High Point Regional High School (Wantage Township, New Jersey) defeated Newton High School (Newton, New Jersey) in boys varsity lacrosse on Wednesday May 1, 2019. The final score was 12-4. The preliminary round of the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament took place at Wallkill Valley Regional High School in Hardyston Township, New Jersey.

Harold Leslie had four goals and an assist, while Ryan Mathews tallied three goals and five assists for High Point. John Morris had two goals and two assists. Ryan Bergman had a goal and an assist. Sean Van Wingerden and Ryan Nugent each scored one goal apiece.

Clay Sytsema picked up 11 ground balls. Mark Antico went 13-for-16 on face-offs.

Donato Bevacqua, Josh Collins, Ryan Lynch and Anthony McCann scored one goal apiece for Newton.

High Point went on to lose against Sparta by the score 17-4 in the first round of the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament on Saturday May 4th.

Team records: High Point Wildcats 5-6. Newton Braves 1-13.
