JAC seeking volunteers for kids activities

The Jefferson Arts Committee is looking for local non-profit organizations/churches/groups to provide a carnival type game/activity for children at this year’s Jefferson Fest III event on Saturday, July 13.
The game/activity must be free for children to participate in, no products/services can be sold, no political or religious undertones, etc., just something for children to enjoy on the field between 5 and 7 pm before the main stage concert.
The sponsoring group will be assigned an 8’x10’ space on the Jefferson Township High School field, 1010 Weldon Road and would be responsible to set up and clean up their own area including a pop-up tent with chairs if desired. They can display a group banner or sign identifying themselves, there will be no charge for the space, and it is optional to award a small prize or trinket to the participating child.
If interested, please email Jeffersonartscomm@hotmail.com as soon as possible with your proposal for a game/activity, full contact information (group name, contact name w/ phone # and email address, etc.) so it can be reviewed by the JAC for appropriateness and to avoid duplicates.
If acceptable, the group will be notified, and the JAC will include the activity in its event publicity. Currently, the JAC already has a face painter and DJ Earl who be playing musical games at the event.
