Larry E. Price

    Larry E. Price, age 74, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 while surrounded by his family at Newton Medical Center. Born in Newton to the late Milton and Helen (Compton) Price, Larry lived in Sussex County all of his life. He had been employed as a lineman for 23 years for Jersey Central Power and retired 30 years ago. After his retirement, he owned and operated several businesses; which included Joe to Go, the Town Shoppe, Bud's Pub and Grub, and Dare Devil Deli. Mr. Price was a member and past treasurer for the Sussex County Skylands Tea Party.
    He was predeceased by his sisters, Ellen Price, Ginny Price, and Laura Sabrin. Mr. Price is survived by his wife, Nancy (Fennelly); his son, Larry M. Price and his wife Tran of Lafayette; his two daughters, Theresa L. Rossiter and her husband Kevin of Sparta and M. Rachel Price and her fiance Rob Aukema of Wantage; two sisters, Hazel Doty of Lafayette and Betty Donahue of Penn Yan, New York; and six grandchildren.
    The family of Larry E. Price would like to extend their sincerest thanks to Blue Ridge Rescue Squad, Newton First Aid Squad, the New Jersey State Police, and Karen Ann Quinlan Center of Hope Hospice for all the help and kindness they showed their father. All their efforts were greatly appreciated.
