Sparta Historical Society welcomes Linda Kenyon, multi-media actress, to perform her one woman show of “A Life of my own: Eleanor Roosevelt” by Stephen LaRocque. Eleanor Roosevelt became an inspiration to people of good will all around the world. Her life and work contributed toward making our country and world a better place to live. This play illuminates some steps along her journey. Eleanor’s granddaughter, Ellie Seagraves, said “Linda has the Eleanor Roosevelt voice, gestures, warmth and engaging personal touches of Eleanor Roosevelt. What Linda does with this role is the best I’ve ever seen or heard any place."

This history show will be held on Thursday, March 14, at 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Sparta Presbyterian Church, 32 Main St. Following the presentation, refreshments will be served. Those attending will have a chance to ask questions about the topic or other issues relating to the history of Eleanor Roosevelt. Members are free, non-members $5

The Sparta Historical Society is located at The Van Kirk Homestead Museum at 336 Main Street (Rte. 517, use Middle School Driveway), Sparta. www.vankirkmuseum.org It will open Sunday, April 14 with a Spring Exhibition called “Curt E. Englebrecht: Views through his Lens” and will be open every second and fourth Sunday through December 8th from 1-4 pm with 2PM talk.
