Jan. 25Troy Leonard, 35, of Avenel was sentenced to four years at the Avenel Adult Diagnostic and Treatment Center with credit for 857 days served.
He also must have no contact with the victim or the victim’s family, no unsupervised contact with minors under the age of 16, and pay standard fines and fees. At his release, he will be required to register under Megan’s Law and will be supervised under Parole Supervision for Life.
He pleaded guilty on Oct. 22, 2018, to Endangering the Welfare of a Child (a third degree crime). Leonard admitted to committing an act of sexual contact against a child under the age of sixteen.
The matter was investigated by the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office.
Feb. 6William J. Davenport, 29, of Ogdensburg pleaded guilty to third-degree unlawful possession of a weapon and third-degree witness tampering.
Sentencing is scheduled for March 22.
The defendant admitted he was in possession of a shotgun when pulled over by New Jersey State Troopers for a motor vehicle violation. He also admitted to making threatening comments to a witness in another matter.
Feb. 11Jacob Sin, 27, of Hopatcong pleaded guilty to burglary and possession of a controlled dangerous substance, both crimes of the third degree.
Sentencing is scheduled for March 21.
The defendant admitted he burglarized several vehicles in Hopatcong in November of 2018. When he was arrested by Hopatcong Police he was found to be in possession of Heroin.
Eric Manno, 34, of Hardyston pleaded guilty to fourth-degree unlawful transport of a weapon.
Sentencing is scheduled for March 21.
The defendant admitted that while he was a passenger in his co-defendant’s vehicle he transported a weapon unlawfully.
Dominick Bencivengo, 28, of Lake Hopatcong pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree theft.
Sentencing is scheduled for April 5.
In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to taking a 2002 Mercedes Benz S430 on Sept. 9, 2015, and a 2005 Kia Sedona Minivan on Oct. 21, 2015, both from Sparta Township.
The cases were investigated by Detective Sergeant Terrence Mulligan, Detective Joseph Antonello and Detective Jeffrey McCarrick of the Sparta Township Police Department.
Alexis K. Martone, 28, of Hackettstown pleaded guilty to two counts of theft and one count of forgery, all crimes of the third degree.
Sentencing is presently scheduled for April 5, 2019.
The defendant admitted she issued a check in the victim’s name to Byram Shop-Rite and cashed another check in Morris County. She also admitted she took several items from the victim’s home including checks, silver coins and alcohol while employed by the victim.
