Tickets on sale for wine and food festival

    HARDYSTON — A celebration of the world’s best wines and top chefs from around the U.S, the 11th annual New Jersey Wine & Food Festival at Crystal Springs Resort takes place April 12– 14.
    Held at New Jersey’s premier culinary destination, Crystal Springs Resort, the weekend’s events are designed to allow food and wine connoisseurs to meet and mingle with the world’s finest chefs and winemakers. Created and overseen by Crystal Springs Chief Operating Officer Robby Younes, the Festival has grown in stature over the past 10 years as a showcase for culinary talent with a who’s who of attending chefs including Thomas Keller, Jose Andres, Daniel Boulud, David Bouley, David Kinch, and more.
    The year’s Festival kicks off on Friday, April 12, with two celebratory dinners, preceded by the Champagne Reception: Top Chefs & Top Wines at Restaurant Latour will feature the restaurant’s Executive Chef Aishling Stevens, Top Chef contestants David Viana and Eddie Konrad, and new Crystal Springs Resort Pastry Chef Matthew Siciliano; while the Wine Cellar Dinner will spotlight the 2-Michelin star team of Chef Gabriel Kreuther and Pastry Chef Marc Aumont of Gabriel Kreuther Restaurant in New York City.
    Saturday, April 13, begins with events like Wine Yoga, a morning yoga class with sparkling wine refreshments; Chandon & Doughnuts combining doughnuts and bubbly from Domaine Chandon and Paso Paint & Sip, a hands-on art class with wines from California’s Paso Robles region, followed by the signature Marketplace Lunch highlighting the best of New Jersey’s wine. Afternoon events include Secrets of the Cellar, a behind-the-scenes look at the resort’s unique award-winning cellar, accompanied by rare back vintage wines and 97 & Above, showcasing highly prized wines that scored 97 or more on wine critics’ 100 point scale. A Rose Champagne tasting is sure to attract both connoisseurs and those new to wine with sparkling roses from such revered classic Champagne houses Krug, Ruinart and Dom Perignon.
    At night, The Grand Tasting welcomes 54 restaurants and over 200 wines in the Crystal Springs Clubhouse including two VIP areas. Meet the Chefs and Winemakers After Party in the Biosphere is the blowout event of the Festival, letting guests, chefs and winemakers dance the night away. The sumptuous Champagne Brunch with lots of bubbly on Sunday April 14 wraps up the festival.
