“I am delighted and honored to be elected to serve as the Chairman of the North Jersey District Water Supply Commission,” Burrell said. “I am committed to working with my colleagues to serve the ratepayers interest as we continue to provide water for millions of New Jerseyans.”

Burrell, who has served on the Board of Commissioners for NJDWSC since 2013, will be the first African-American Chairman in the history of the Commission. The commissioners also elected Charles P. Shotmeyer as vice chairman.

Shotmeyer has served on the Commission since 2000 and has recently served as chairman of the commission from 2012 until this year.

“Over the last year, NJDWSC has been looking at its overall operations and working with the Governor’s Administration to identify efficiencies and policies that will fit in with the Governor’s priorities,” said Eustace. “The Commission is committed to serving the water needs of our customers every day at the lowest possible cost, and Chairman Burrell is dedicated to that goal”, said Eustace.
