  • Wallkill Valley's Samantha Opilla reaches in to try to grab the ball or knock it away from Vernon's Madi Devries in the third quarter. Devries scored four points, grabbed ten rebounds and made one assist.

  • Wallkill Valley's Natalia Mianowski in the midst of a leaping shot in the fourth quarter. Mianowski scored two points and grabbed three rebounds.

  • Wallkill Valley's Jamie Struble grabs the ball during a rebound in the fourth quarter. Struble grabbed 11 rebounds.

  • Wallkill Valley's Samantha Opilla handles the ball as Vernon's Brietta Patterson reaches in during the fourth quarter. Opilla scored ten points.

Alicja Wesloske scored 16 points, leading Vernon to a 39-33 win over Wallkill Valley on Saturday, Jan. 26, in the first round of the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament.

Brietta Patterson added eight points and six rebounds for the Vikings (8-6) and Madie DeVries scored four points, grabbed 10 rebounds and made one assist.

Samantha Opilla led Wallkill Valley (6-8) with 10 points. Jamie Struble scored nine points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
