The Jefferson Township Recreation Department is partnering with Sparta Lanes to provide another winter/spring bowling program for Jefferson Township students in Kindergarten (5 year olds) through 12th graders.

Join the team at Sparta Lanes at 83 Woodport Road in Sparta every Thursday beginning on Thursday, Feb. 21 at 4:30 p.m. for this fun-filled 10-week program that runs through May 2 (no bowling on April 18 due to Spring break).

Each week, bowlers will play two games, staff will be available for questions, the Pro Shop will be open for any participant needing assistance with equipment, and each bowler will be given a Jefferson bowling team t-shirt to wear each week.

The cost per bowler will be $70 for the 10-week program; and there is an option to have a meal included at Sparta Lanes for an additional $27.50 ($2.75 per week) for a total of $97.50. The meal would include a small drink with a hot dog or chicken nuggets each Thursday during each of the program.

Students can chose if they want to use the bowling bumpers, and everyone can choose two people who they would like to bowl with each week. Bowling partners must each file their own registration and all must agree on using bumpers or not.

Registration is online at https://register.communitypass.net/reg/index.cfm; and if you already have an existing account, sign in or follow the prompts to set up your own personal account through the Jefferson Township community. In either case, chose the “2019 Children’s Bowling Program” season to register and then choose EITHER “No Food Option” OR “With Meals Option”.

As with any online shopping site, everything in your cart is payable immediately. Full payment of all items in your shopping cart can be made online at checkout with a MC, VISA, or Discover credit card subject to a 2.65% bank convenience fee. However, you can choose to “Send Payment” at checkout and then drop off a check, cash, or money order to the JT Recreation Dept. office at Camp Jefferson, 81 Weldon Road, Lake Hopatcong,NJ 07849 within 3 business days. Or you can mail a check to the office postmarked the day of your registration or the next business day so the office receives your payment within 3 business days of registration — do not mail cash. If full payment is not received in the office within 3 business days of registration, your registration can be cancelled.

If you experience difficulty in registering online, log on to www.jeffersontownhip.net, click on the “Form Center” link on the left side of the home page, and scroll down to the Recreation Department to find “Community Pass Online Registration Instructions” with step-by-step directions. If you still need assistance, please contact the Recreation office at 973-663-8404 x4 or cpunturieri@jeffersontownship.net for assistance.

Bowling participants must be registered and the activity fee paid in full before attending the first session on Feb. 21.
