    Jan. 7Trent Robinson, 26, of Newark, pleaded guilty to credit card theft, a third-degree crime and theft by deception, a fourth-degree crime.
    Sentencing is scheuled for Feb. 15.
    In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to using stolen credit card information to fraudulently obtain merchandise from the Rockaway Walmart. The merchandise was valued at over $300.
    The case was investigated by Dsg. K. A. Breiten of the New Jersey State Police.
    Kevin McGrogan. 24, of Sussex pleaded guilty to fraudulent use of a credit card, a third-degree crime, and a violation of probation.
    Sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 13.
    In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to using an individual’s credit card to obtain cash and goods on May 26, 2018, in Vernon Township.
    The case was investigated by Detective S. Gentle of the Vernon Township Police Department.
    Jan. 11Thomas Rae, 52 , of Newton, was sentenced to three years of probation and 364 days in jail with credit for 29 days of time served with regard to fourth-degree Criminal Trespass. He was ordered to submit to a TASC evaluation and follow any and all recommendations made from same, obtain a sponsor and attend AA meetings seven times per week, submit a DNA sample, have no contact with the victim, submit to a mental health evaluation at Probation’s discretion, make restitution of $1,000 and pay fines and fees totaling $155.
    With regard to the violation of probation, the defendant was terminated from probation as unimproved and entered a collection agreement for $2,177. He was given jail credit of 37 days.
    He pleaded guilty on September 26, 2018, to Criminal Trespass, a fourth degree crime, and a violation of probation.
    The defendant entered a Newton home in June 2018 without permission.
