Robert Baumgartner, a social studies teacher at Franklin Borough school, was honored as the 2018-19 Governor’s Educator of the year.
Baumgartner has been with the Franklin Borough School since September of 2011 teaching sixth, seventh and eighth grade social studies.
Baumgartner engages his students in current events as well as United States and World History. Students love to participate in his projects that explore government structures and economic policies.
In addition, Baumgartner is a basketball coach, Response to Intervention (RTI) facilitator and National Junior Honor Society advisor.
Eve Soares was the school's 2018-19 Educational Services Professional of the Year. Soares joined the Franklin Borough School in 2015 as a paraprofessional. She has served in many classrooms nurturing our children academically, socially and emotionally.
She is currently a paraprofessional in the new preschool program, where she greets students with a smile every morning.
